Continuous Self Development Circle
This Circle is intended for everyone who likes to work on self-development.
We will use mindfulness as a general framework. Mindfulness is about (non-judgmentally) exploring your inner and outer world. While exploring, we can learn how we are conditioned by our upbringing, environments and society. We can learn to respond differently to things, to connect to our deeper, more authentic selves, and in the process finding more self-acceptance.
Among other things you will work on coming to terms with your past, accepting yourself more, connecting to your own intuition and strengths and developing helpful practices.
Themes we will work with:
– the body
– recognising & managing stress
– schemas and their triggers
– negative beliefs
With the Continuous Self Development Circle, I try to offer an environment that helps you on your personal journey. First of all, having a group of people around you on a similar journey helps you finding and keeping focus and motivation. Second, the different themes which I introduce regularly (for example self-acceptance or negative thought patterns) can serve as orientation point in your personal journey.
This Circle is HSP-friendly, but is also open to people who don’t identify themselves as an HSP.
- Introduction sessions
There are two introduction sessions. You can then meet me, fellow group members and check for yourself if it feels right to take part. These introduction sessions are free of charge. You don’t commit to joining the circle by visiting one of these. The sessions are scheduled for May 5th (14.00-15.30) and May 28th (19.30-21.00). Just send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you like to take part.
You can compare this Circle to a course. The difference is that there is no end date and it’s less intensive. Every 2 weeks there’s a real life session (on the Mondays). Every other week there’s a short online check-in moment.
You’re invited to do home exercises in between the sessions. Just if and how much you practice is your decision.
So to be clear, this is not a stand alone meetup, workshop or a regular course.
You sign up for 2 months cycles. After each cycle, you can simply decide whether you like to continue or not.
You pay how much you can afford. I need 40 euro on average per month per person. You can also pay more than 40 euro. In that way you allow someone with no or little income to take part.
* Who Am I
My name is Francisco Beisterveld (40). I’m a mindfulness trainer and psychologist. I teach mindfulness workshops and courses in Amsterdam and Utrecht. More information you can find at www.amsterdam-mindfulness.nl. If you like to meet me, then you’re always welcome to join one of the Mindfulness meetups which I organise every Sunday at 13.00 (also at Granaatstraat 38). These Sunday sessions are also published in the Amsterdam Mindfulness meetup group.
